The NHS App

Do more with the NHS App

What is the NHS app?

If you’re a patient over 13 years old and registered at our practice, you can download and use the NHS App to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet. Download below:

Apple App Store

Android Google Play Store

If you don't have a smartphone or table, you can access this service from a computer by using your NHS Account.

The NHS App doesn’t replace existing services and you can still contact us in the usual ways. If you already use SystmOnline at Hirsel Medical Practice, we would advise also having the NHS App to give you 24/7 secure access to a growing range of health services and information, such as:

Appointments:

  • book and cancel appointments
  • check your referrals and hospital appointments

Prescriptions:

  • order repeat prescriptions
  • nominate a pharmacy

Managing your health:

  • securely access your GP medical record to see your information such as vaccination history and test results
  • register your organ donation decision
  • take part in health research

Advice and information:

  • search symptoms, conditions, and treatments
  • get health advice through 111 online
  • find NHS services near you
  • check your NHS number

Receiving messages:

  • receive messages and notifications from your GP surgery

Helping someone else:

  • link profiles - you can apply to access the health records, appointments and prescriptions of people you care for (including children) – or get help from someone you trust
